This premium tea comes straight from award-winning farmer Akihito Tataki of the shimmering green fields of Hoshino. Hoshino is located in Yame, Fukuoka, which is known as one of Japan’s best regions for growing green tea. After they are picked, the leaves are steamed and rolled into their traditional shape. Sencha represents a range of flavors, some vegetal, some grassy, and some like seaweed.
The fresh tea leaves are processed and packaged on-site, keeping its aromas fresh and ready for you to enjoy.
PRODUCTION AREA:
The most renowned plantations in Fukuoka prefecture are located in Yame. Morning mists and river fogs are very frequent. Curtains of fog wrap green tea plantations, properly blocking sunlight. Yame enjoys an inland climate-high temperature during daytime and very cool and low temperatures at night.
